/milestones through Asia/

 

 

Departure to China in June 2007, on a summer evening, lonesome and by road. Preparing the journey took me almost eight months, and this wasn’t really finished when I started my expedition. My camera-eye project – though it was the main purpose of this trip - became more precise during the European part of the trip. Thus, Milestones began as soon as Bosphore Detroit was crossed.

About forty photographs compose this portrait.
About forty old men, all shot in the same way. The proximity between the artist
and the subject, is leading to an exchange, and furthermore a friendship.
These are old men’s faces, where a little part of History is always written.
